Nerja

We definitely recommend you to follow the coastal route to what was once the medieval fishing town of Nerja (29 miles); the most beautiful town on the coast! Cars are banned from the centre of Nerja; you leave your car in a parking garage, from which the boulevard is easily accessed. The boulevard is aptly named ‘El Balcon de Europa’ because it really is a balcony from which you look down towards the sea. Nerja is also famous for “The Caves of Nerja” which are periodically used as a theatre. Several well-known musicals and festivals are held here.

Be sure to visit Frigiliana (1.2 miles from Nerja). This beautiful village has been elected for several consecutive years as the most beautiful white village in Spain.
